Sean Poole
Sean is a 20 year+ veteran of the service industry. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and moved to Campbell River on Vancouver Island at age 9. His culinary adventure started early in life as he was inspired by his father’s enthusiasm for cooking as a young child.
In 2003, Sean began working closely with the kitchen in his role as Host Of Guest Services at Knight Inlet Lodge, an internationally renowned eco-tourism lodge, which led to the wintertime pursuit of becoming part of the team to open The Pizza Mogul, the first independently owned and operated restaurant on Mount Washington. He stepped in a nearly decade-long tenure as a Manager at the Strathcona Hotel, Victoria BC’s largest and most popular dining and entertainment venue, with eight famous restaurants and bars.
Sean then accepted the position of General Manager of a long-standing hotel in midtown Victoria, which housed a restaurant, large sports bar and entertainment venue. He also managed Courtenay’s award winning Atlas Café for three years. Sean has a genuine dedication for creating a wonderful experience for his guests and delivering a high level of service.
Now a father, Sean has returned to the Comox Valley with his wife, Erin Kenny, a classically trained painter, multi-media artist and designer, and their young son.

Their return is marked with prospect and excitement as he and his wife proudly re-join the local food and beverage community as Co-Owners of the famed Locals at the Old House. As a devoted believer in the credo of “keeping it local”, Sean is honoured to be a part of the community and contribute to the local circular economy of fresh food production and high quality dining.
